Working in partnership with Kier to produce post 16 facilities at Nower Hill High School for the London Borough of Harrow.
The building is integrated into existing 1960’s school building but orientated to create a separate identity. The facilities are housed over 3 storeys and include 8 classrooms, 2 IT Suites, staff accommodation, lift, WC’s & a 170m2 Social /Quiet Study area.
The building’s lighting is automatically activated when required, and all the main spaces are ventilated naturally using a passive stack system (which draws air in through automated grilles on the building’s façade and discharges via ducts at the back of each room to roof terminals). The building is largely naturally lit due to easterly facing, fully glazed walls to the main rooms and circulation towers, these glazed walls also afford stunning views over the school grounds.
