Appointed by Glebe First & Middle School, a failing LB Harrow school in a deprived area,to produce a Design Strategy for a 5 year development plan for the school. Since then we have completed a phased selection of projects using the six week summer vacation to carry out building works when the school is unoccupied. In addition a rolling programme of classroom refurbishments has taken place throughout the school terms.

The school made the decision to instigate a refurbishment programme starting with the first point of entry for pupils, the Nursery. A key part of the foundation years curriculum includes opportunities for external play and so this formed a key part of the works. The same programme of works saw the total refurbishment of all toilet facilities throughout the school. Since then works have been carrried out to provide sufficent classrooms for a two form entry school for years 1-7, the library and adjacent art room were combined with a ciorridor to create a study centre for pupils and after school extended school activities.
